Introduction to Pipefitting
Elite Welding Academy’s Intro to Pipefitting program provides individuals with the skills necessary to begin their career in the construction industry. Graduates of this program will have a strong foundation in entry-level pipefitting, making them competitive in the job market.
This program prepares students for a variety of entry-level industrial construction positions, such as helpers, pipefitters, millwrights, and sheet metal workers. Students will learn all areas of construction safety, including personal protective equipment use and care, equipment set-up, and maintenance, which will be discussed, demonstrated, and practiced.
The Intro to Pipefitting program is 120 clock hours in total and runs for three weeks. To be eligible, students must be 18 years of age or older. The program consists of 33 lecture clock hours and 87 lab clock hours, with a student-to-instructor ratio of 10 to 1.
Upon successful completion of this curriculum, students will receive a Certificate of Completion for the Intro to Pipefitting program.
